Bowhunters plan summer rendezvous

Hog Roast, beans and tater salad?  Sign me up :)

This is a great event to help support physically challenged bowhunters.  If you're in the area, make plans to come out and support these folks!

Sounds like a lot of fun.

================================

The Salina Bowmen will host a Kansas Bowhunters Association summer rendezvous Aug. 12 and 13 at their Niles Range.

To reach the range, go east of Salina on I-70, take exit 260 north, follow the blacktop north then east through Niles, and then 1/4 mile east of Niles and then 3/4 miles south, just over the railroad tracks.

At 1 p.m. Saturday the KBA will host an auction for the Physically Challenged Bowhunters of America. All types of hunting and archery gear will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to help people with disabilities get into he great sport of bowhunting.

For $10 you can shoot the range for the whole weekend. There will be 20 3D targets and 14 target butts.

Saturday night there will be a whole hog roast with beans and potato salad for $5 a plate.

Here's where I read about the event...
